What is it to be a New Zealander? Being a New Zealander has some similarities and differences from being a Chilean. Being a New Zealander implies being a kind, generous and unprejudiced person. New Zealand’s society has more than one culture in it, maori, asians, etc. And they all live together and they don’t care about your skin color, appearance, etc. They are a multicultural society. One aspect of New Zealand is their way of eating, at breakfast they don’t eat a lot, at lunch they eat a sandwich and when they eat dinner, they eat a lot, it is an important moment for them because they can share a moment with their families and talk about their day. New Zealand is also a safe place, the people that live in here don’t steal, for example in the subway, people leave their phones charging and then they go somewhere else and when they come back they will still be there (everyone knows in Chile that won’t happen), stealing isn’t part of their society as it is in Chile. In New Zealand they also take care of their cities and green areas, if you walk in Wellington, it is really weird to see trash or anything written on the walls, it is a really clean place.
